Burbank Bear

Check out what I saw driving around Burbank a few weeks ago:

That bear looks real! I think he just stopped by that 7-Eleven for a Big Gulp. When you zoom in on the picture, you can see there's a guy in the back of the truck posing for the camera.

One Man's Trash...

How much do I love this picture? Answer: A lot. I think it's funny the NoHo Arts District has the words Wisdom, Health, Love and Harmony carved onto the trash cans. Here's a picture of my BF posing next to a can overflowing with wisdom, er, trash.

Shit My Neighbors Put On Their Lawn

I think this is going to be a recurring post because my neighbors are always putting shit on their lawn. So far nothing has topped this.

These couches sat there for 3 months (and got rained on) before they finally disappeared. The funny thing is at one point the neighbors put an equally crappy couch out there with a "for sale" sign on it. I wanted to take another picture, but I think they're on to me. But do you see that tree to the right of the couches in the picture below?

That's where the new couch sits. Why they think this other couch is worth money, I'll never know. I'll take a picture when I can. Stay tuned...

Detached Head Found In My Bed

I woke up the other morning and found the head of a stuffed dog toy in my bed. I think my dog is trying to tell me something.

Cue The Godfather theme song...

Riding On The Metro

Dear Readers,

I have been a major slacker with this blog. My apologies! Between my day job, other writing jobs and radio show ("113 Seconds with Natalie" at, I have been way busy. But I have big plans for this site, so don't go anywhere.

I was recently featured as a guest blogger on my name twin's blog. Yes, her name is also Natalie DeJohn! Well, until she got married. Check out my post:

Peace out, y'all!

L.A. Lyric of the Day

From the South Bay to the Valley

From the West Side to the East Side

Everybody's very happy

'Cause the sun is shining all the time

Looks like another perfect day

I love L.A.

Happy New Year!

What? It's already half way through January? Okay, I'm a little behind, which is a shame because I had some great Christmas shopping stories lined up, including one about seeing Paul Blart: Mall Cop on sale for $39.99. I'm not kidding!!!! 40 dollars for Paul Blart! I tried to take a picture, but the guy at the cash register was eyeing me like he thought I might steal it--like I might steal a copy of Paul Blart: Mall Cop!!!

Anyway, since then I've moved to North Hollywood and picked up some other writing jobs and creative projects. What are they? I'm glad you asked. I strongly suggest you visit:

The city directories are some websites where you can find more of my blogs. The Hot Talk L.A. website is where you can find my podcast, "113 Seconds With Natalie." Just scroll down to the Underground section and you'll find my link. Hope you like it!

I'm also in the process of re-vamping this blog completely. It's drab. I am taking suggestions.
